I'm not from Canada, but I will tell you that the best thing that you can do is speak to officers close to you. Ask them all of the questions your heart desires and they will be able to give you the best answer. Being an officer can be an extremely rewarding job, but can also be very hard on a person if they aren't prepared for what they end up dealing with. Try and get a ride-along and check it out first hand before you rush into anything. Your still young, plenty of time to learn!
