Why did the montgomery bus boycott start?

Rosa Parks was arrested because the bus driver asked her and three other blacks to move from their seats to accomoate a white patron who was standing. She refused and was arrested. E.D. Nixon posted bond for Ms. Parks. They consulted and she agreed to ist in breaking down segregation on the Montgomery bus line due to her arrest.
