Should I tell my parents about my traffic ticket? HELP!!!?

well about a month ago, feb. 2nd. I got a ticket for "not stopping for a pedestrian on an unmarked crosswalk". Basically, the dude was jaywalking and he paused in the middle of the road and i ped him by. A cop saw, pulled me over and give me a ticket for it. Now, i got the letter in the mail says i need to pay 201 bucks for the ticket or go to driving school for 268 bucks. I only have a 125 bucks on me and I have to pay all this crap. I could tell my parents but i'm 18 so i can do this all on my own. My parents have no idea and my deadline to pay pretty close, march 6th which is also my court day. Do i need to go to court to pay the ticket? AND I've been keeping this a secret from my parents cause i think theyll probably FLIP on me and i really dont feel like it. I live in LA,California so yeah. Help?
