No. an Isotonic solution is a perfectly balanced salt/water solution. Therefore, no water has to travel through a membrane (OSMOSIS) in order to balance out an uneven salt to water ratio. For example, think about how much better Saline (an Isotonic Solution) feels to be poured into your open eyes than bath water (a Hypotonic Solution).
