Would you ume a guy is gay because he wears thongs?

a guy was totally checking me out the other day while was in the locker room. like, he was getting ready to leave when I came in and he hung around and started talking to me. as I got dressed and put on my undies (I wear thongs) he just seemed to be staring right at me. do you think he thought I was gay because I wear thongs. I am straight BTW. I just like thongs - they are super comfy. anyway, i figure since I am fit and in shape, I figure skimpy undies look cuter than boxers.
