Would this be too much power?

I am buying a 22lr and 308 soon. I am hunting bobcat and fox. I heard 22lr isn't powerful enough, so I'm just going to use the 308. I don't plan on saving the furs, but I'd like to mount them. Would this blow them to bits or just screw up the furs?
