When are people finally going to realize that pro athletes are not role models?
Everytime the Pacmans, Michael Vicks, and Marhshawn Lynchs name come up in the news people are so quick to bring up the fact they are role models when in fact they are not they get paid to throw/carry/intercept a football not to raise everyones kids. Where is Charles Barkley when we need him? He said it best I AM NOT A ROLE MODEL. He should be in some of kind of hall of fame for that comment alone. I grew up watching Michael Jordan, Dan Marino and Joe Montana but always wanted to be just like my parents and teachers those were my role models. Guess it just shows the lack of responsibility in our society today people want to p the buck off on others when it comes to raising their kids. If we want athletes to be role models there should some kind of role model clause in their contracts and a bonus.
