What can I do, should I to feel better?

I'm getting so sad, so depressed. In the past few months, I've had 3 "friends" blow me off after having a falling out with each of them, job hunted with no success and things look bleaker each day. No one seems to understand how tough things are for me. I sit around all day all by myself. What are some easy, affordable things I can to improve myself and make things look better?
