Toilet clogged with poop?

How do I unclog it??? I went poop (not anything really big, just normal) but for some reason it clogged when i flushed. So i tried flushing again, and it just filled up more. And then i tried again, and it just filled more... AND NOW its just a lot of brown water that is kind of close to the top... i know if i flush it again it will go over, but if i leave it, it will stay where it is... should i just wait a while and try flushing again? i feel like it will overflow.....
