Should I go to Guatemala?

I have the chance to go to Guatemala this summer on a mission trip with a church that I am not a member of but have a friend who goes there. I've always wanted to go out of the country, but with a bunch of kids I don't know? And yeah, I'll get to help out people and it would probably be a good experience. What should I do? How is Guatemala? Would this look good on a college resume if I'm planning on going out of state? The trip is for 9 days. I have to have the deposit in by Friday and I have no idea if i want to go or not! Help me! Kind in mind that I'm in 10th grade. (Is that too young?)
