Religious believers and atheist; how did life come to existence?

Everything originated from one small bacterium. How it was created or where it came from, we dont know. The biggest block in the theory is "where did the first cell come from?" And i think there is a slight chance that as long as our planet had water, and all the elements necessary for life, that cell could have been created. Think of all the planets in all of the universe. There's billions and billions of them, and its just like picking marbles out of a bag. Perhaps 3% of all the planets have just the right combination of characteristics so that life will be created, and earth is a part of that 3%. Out of all the trillions of planets, it has to happen right? But who knows, it may have come from another planet or something. Perhaps a comet hit the earth and the cell came with it. Sure we don't have the technology at this point in time to figure this out, but even on Mars, if they are able to prove that there may have been life on Mars, that brings us another step closer into figuring out how the first cell got here.
