Question about the Mr. Cellophane scene in Chicago...?

Now, my friend is convinced that Amos is wearing stilts (just small ones) during this number- in the film version- and I don't think so. But I'm not sure and it's been bugging me. So if anyone knows for sure, I would much appreciate it if they let me know.
