Please help! Is Curry a Hot pepper like chili peppers, I cant eat chili peps...so I need some spice with heat?

I have been put on a strict diet of no chili, jalapenos,etc. on peppers. But, luv heat in food. So can I cook with Curry like a peppery hot spice...I heard its not the same as chili's.....please help...I hate bland food...thanks
