Pain in the Testicles?

I have a throbbing pain in my left testicle which often spreads to the right. I followed NHS Direct advice and got myself to A&E and after examination by a doctor and a urine sample I was cleared of Testicular Torsion and sent home. It is still very painful, and constant rejection from A&E has made me feel like a fraud, and made me reluctant to contact medical professionals about my problem. It is constant, with stabbing pains and is very tender. Any past experience or help would be appreciated.
