On a Riddell football replica helmet.. are the decals on it stickers? (or are they painted on)?

I have a replica "Riddell" football helmet, and the (Carolina Panthers) 'stickers' on it are peeling.. I just wanted to know if anyone knows if they are SUPPOSED to be stickers or if replica helmets have the painted on logos? Thanks!!
