Is it possible to alter the of your babies in the Sims 2?

Actually the of the baby is determined when it's conceived. I realized this when I kept attempting to have a different baby but they all kept coming out girls. I realized the game had been saved since the baby was conceived. So the next time, I saved the game BEFORE they "woohooed" and I was able to go back when I got a different baby then I wanted.
