I can't breathe after i cough?

I had bronchitis for the past 2 weeks and i thought i was over it. But, now i have a cough that is very persistent and hard to stifle. It's not a hacking cough but it's very loud and wet. If i don't stop it and it finishes by itself, i can't breathe at all and my throat feels closed up. If i do stop it, i still can barely breathe but i can sometimes say a few words before gasping again. I never had asthma before but i got advair for my bronchitis and i've been using that. Also, i've been taking tussionex cough syrup. I also have smoked 5 times in the past 4 days before today(weed). It was gonna be a one time thing but i was with my friend all weekend and he kept convincing me to. Does anybody know what this is and how i can help it?
