I am so confused! can you help?

So at the start of this year one of my guy friends followed me around like a little puppy dog. He's pretty cute and is 6ft tall, (were both freshman in high school,) and he gives the best hugs ever. So he would follow me around and i just kinda brushed it off as annoying and talked some smack about him to a few of my good girl friends. One day he asked what was up and I said i was sad and didnt feel well so he spent the entire day trying to cheer me up. He was making me laugh and he made me some cookies in foods, and he would give me these amazing hugs that made me feel all sappy inside. He always told me he loved me and said i had to say it back so i always would and one time he shouted "I LOVE YOU!" across the gym and our gym teacher yelled at him for "an innapropriate outburst" He invited me to go to one of his games and i told him to tell me when the next one is but he never did. Then one day he just stopped doing all this. I still talk to him like once a week and stuff and he still is always concerend when im sad. We joke around and stuff still and have fun, but heres the problem. now i like him. But I don't think he likes me anymore. thoughts?
