Hey guys i really could use your help with this one.?

well i have this guy friend we have been friends for like 6 years. about two years ago i told him i had feelings for him. we have been able to keep the friendship even though he doesn't feel the same for me. here is the problem this weekend at the bar at closing time he told his other friends that they needed to get "a becky " {i normally take him home from the bar when he has been drinking.} that i was better then a cab and no weird conversations with a cab driver. now my question is should i be upset over him saying that. part of me feels like its a good thing that he thinks everyone needs someone in their life like me but the other part feels insulted that he thinks of me just like a cab driver. if you said this about a girl guys that was supposed to be your friend what would you mean by it?
