Gauged ears in the Air Force?
Many men in the military have pierced ears..they simply can not wear the piercings while in uniform. This can apply to body piercings as well as long as there is no visable sign of the piercings when they are not it. Gauging however is different. The AF is especially strict on these regs...if you have gauged your ears to the point that the opening clearly shows when the plugs are out, you will have to have them surgically repaired. Small gaugings (such as the ones barely larger than the posts of earrings) may be ok...however it is up to the recruiter and then, if you get in, each command may have a different approach to the issue.
