Does this mean she's in labor?

i thought my cat was goin into labor fri cause she began meowing and being affectionate and having a discharge, then it all stopped. last night about 5 pm she started again and has been meowing and begging to be petted and has a constant discharge again, she keeps goin in and out of her box i made for her as well...i think this means the kittens will be here soon. She stopped for a few hours over the night and then started again today and its getting more intense now...she has begun to growl on occasion (about every hr for the past 3 hrs) and still seems restless....im worried as this is her first litter...does this sound normal? is this impending kitten arrival? (and b4 anyone comments on my cat having kittens being irrespnsible or tells me to get her fixed she is an indoor cat and breed with my other cat who is scheduled to be fixed since he has had the chance to have babies...all the kittens will be staying with me )
