Do I sound like a bad wife? Men please respond as well!?

My husband and I live in Louisville Ky and he is wanting to ride his bike from Louisville to Lexington Ky in September for a cancer benefit. I explained to him that I thought it was a bad idea because it's a far ride, he's not real experienced, and I worry something will happen to him. I am a stay at home mom, he is the only one bringing home money, and I just worry about him going. Plus we have a toddler and I like to go biking on the weekends with him it's just too dangerous to take our small child. So do I sound like a bad wife? He of course has made me feel bad and I told him that there were other cancer benefits we could participate in and he is dead set on this one for reasons I don't know why. So what husbands out there would leave their families to go?
