Can you help me? Something is Wrong with my Daffodil Plant?

Hey I bought a pretty little mini daffodil at florist shop last week. It was fine till my mom watered it on the same day I watered it, now it is whitish yellow near the base, and the new buds coming up are shriveled looking. If this is not concerning enough the stems and leaves are going in every direction and some are laying down. I hope its not dying. I tied them with a ribbon so it stands up straight, and sat it under florescent light. is that okay? What else can I do??
